Amsterdam & The Hague

I have four occasions to be in Amsterdam and the Hague in June. What is there for the modeler in that area? Any good hobby shops and aviation museums?

First of al, everything is nearby in the Netherlands, we are so little country :D

Museum; In the city Lelystad there is a big aviation museum ,"Aviodrome"

in the city Soesterberg there is the AF museum (free entrance!)

Shops; There are not manny big shops but we have nearby Schiphol Airport (Amsterdam)

Museum in Soesterberg (near Utrecht) is very good as well!!

There are extremely few good hobbyshops in Holland

In The Hague and Amsterdam you can always try toyshops like Intertoys.

Another shop which some time carries (cheap, Revell) kits is Blokker, a general household store.

Oh, in the town of Rijswijk near The Hague and next to the trainstation there is another well-stocked shop called "Wapstad". It also specialises in HO scale trains etc.

On 15+16 June the KLu (Koninklijke Luchtmacht, Royal Netherlands Airforce) will hold its annual Open Day with an air and static show. This will be in the south of the country on Volkel Airbase.
