Guys in Anaheim Area - Any good places to eat? Good Hobby Shops/Museum

Recommended Posts

Well let's see, food .. I have'nt ate in LA in a while, but there is a place(can't recall the name) but is famous for chicken and waffles and celebrities, you must try In&Out burger(you won't be disappointed),Mortons steakhouse in Orange County(10 out of 10).

HobbyShops.. Brookhurst Hobbies is closest to the venue,Mission Models(don't know if they will be open),Military Hobbies.

Museums.. Planes of Fame in Chino, March Field museum(not real close to venue).

Probably many more than I know.

Also,if you need some entertainment activities in the evenings you could go to the #3 Resort & Casino in the US, Pechanga Resort & Casino, Temecula,CA (shameless plug) :) lots to do there!

Here in Anaheim we have Chris and Pitts BBQ steakhouse, Aztekas Mexican and your plethora of fast food. We have Brookhurst hobbies, Military hobbies and Pegasus Hobbies plus Coast Airbrush for all your airbrush needs. The Tamiya store is close too. Several museums but the only one I have personal experience with is Planes of Fame in chino. I'd be happy to answer what I can for ya, I live here.

Just point me in the direction of the buffet  and watering hole, which are plentiful around there I'm told. Look at the IPMS web site to book museum tours specially set up for the show. The Chino air museum and Planes of fame for $40. But that includes transport and lunch too. As for the hobby shops, you mean the 220 tables of the best vendors and manufactures in the world won't be enough? :beer4:

Hit the Mrs. Knott's Chicken Restaurant at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, it's only a few miles away and it's on the outside of the theme park ... Good Eats !

Edit: And if you do go, drink some of the Boysenberry Punch, Knott's is the birthplace of the Boysenberry !

I think its a good suggestion to keep in mind that going anywhere, you have a high chance of hitting traffic.

Especially if you need to use the 405, 405 is the only freeway ive used where theres traffic for no reason.

Ah, Haven't been on the 91 latly. A parking lot all day long.

Try The Hat. Many locations in So Cal. Best pastrami ever.

Oh, If you like pizza there is BJ's Pizza in Brea. yes it's called BJ's. Best pizza in town. Not to far to drive.

Also the Rain Forest Cafe in Downtown Disney. Great atmosphere.

Hooters  Its right around the corner!!

Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Perhaps the ARC crew could meet up there to eat then?

But I don't know if AW is allowed to go in Hooters......

Hearing you reccommend "The Hat" stirs up a lot of memories. Was raised in Alhambra, lived on 2nd st. My paper route (Post Advocate) ended at Valley Blvd and 2nd st. Nobody makes 'em (Pastami) better.

Amazing no one has mentioned 'The Military Shop' in Long Beach.

Yeah, the pretzels and soda are exquisite there at Gary's.

AW, The Military Shop is a great hobby store.....
