chopperpilot71
No resin, no rescribing, and no stress! Just a relaxing "anti-stresser" build. Built this kit probably 10 times when I was a kid, kinda cool returning and doing it again for the GB! Havin' a blast.... I dont normally put pilots in a completed model but this early F-16 first issued in the late '70's has one laid back cool looking dude and it just didn't feel right leaving him out for the Classic Monogram Build so I gave him the job. Heres what I got so far......
Rampage55
Wow, for someone who doesn't use pilot figures often you sure did a great job painting that one. Is that a checklist on his knee? Nicely done. Mark
Aggressor Supporter
I've always liked seeing pilots in model planes, where they should be. Good you've decided to put him in there and looking forward to seeing more updates! Btw, what markings are you planning to put on this Viper?
chopperpilot71
Hi and thanks for the comments so far, The checklist I put on his leg is a thin piece of sheet styrene that I just glued to his leg, I took a sharp artist pencil and drew (as good as I could do) an instrument approach plate on it. As far as the scheme going on it, its going to be in the early red white and blue prototype and FSD scheme. So far so good, but it did take the insignia white about 4 days to fully dry!! Aggressor Supporter
Looking good! Brings back the faintest of memories of the YF-16 vs YF-17 in the LWF competition.
