Big Kahuna
I have been reading this article http://www.news.com.au/travel/story/0,2348...5-36335,00.html this week and drooling with anticipation. I just checked Boeing's Website and they are webcasting it live. http://www.boeing.com/commercial/787family/787premiere.html They have Timezone conversions (Very Handy feature) and this will be on at 6:30 AM Perth Time Monday Morning. (Goota love those Chevrons!.... ) Nenad
Wild Bill
And from CNN: http://www.cnn.com/2007/TRAVEL/07/06/bt.dr...iner/index.html Pretty cool that aircraft engineering and innovation is alive and well. Rather than take sides and slag one company or the other, I just think it's cool that new offerings are coming from both sides of the pond and I might get to fly in one someday. DavidGreer
A lot can happen untill 2013.... But I hope it doesn´t take that long to get a decent kit of the 787. Minicraft or Revell? Edited July 8, 2007 by DavidGreer
Big Kahuna
I read on Airliner cafe last night that Airbus had actually paid Revell to do the kits of the Airbus Family. Some bright spark must have figured that this could help their publicity and image with good representation. Oh well if it's true or not at least we get good kits from Revell. Hopefully Boeing will assist Revell somehow(Information or $$$) so that we get a good representation of the plane. The Minicraft offereings of the Boeings aren't exctly the best. Watched 10 mins of the Webcast this morning before reality set in and I had to leave for work. I'll download it and watch it tonight. First flight due in August or September. I am itchingto see how those chevrons work.... Nenad
SimFixer
Hmmmm.....not counting leasing and finance groups, only 2 American people haulers have booked orders (NWA and Continental). Wonder if that'll change as older airframes get retired? Hope NWA brings a few here to MEM.
