Space Tiger Hobbes
It arrived today. Nice metal weights. Why is there a gunner station in the radar operator's position? No open cowl flaps. 1 row of cylinders. Didn't open the canopy but the clear parts are nicely padded and separately bagged. or dry fit anything. Looking forward to an expert review. If it was $25, I'd like it a bit more.

Space Tiger Hobbes
Terry, What do you know about a P-61B nose for the Monogram kit by Lone Star? Is the kit nose wrong?
philo426
I am just about done building mine and the clear parts were a Major problem!I had to use 2 part epoxy to close the substantial gaps and the major assemblies needed lots of putty.I also had to fill the longer nose cap with lead bird shot in an epoxy matrix to prevent tail sitting.I decided to paint it with Alclad Chrome over a gloss black base coat.Really impressed with the results! Space Tiger Hobbes
That's a lovely finish, but what you did to get it there looks like a war crime. I don't have that many clamps and tweezers. :)

Space Tiger Hobbes
That's quite a P-61 stealth scheme, there.
109ace
Hi all, I see this is an old thread. Hope it still gets some traction. I have listed on Ebay a resin set I make for the Monogram P-61. It addresses areas that I as a modeler always cringed at. Take a look and see if you might benefit from this set? http://www.ebay.com/itm/302199754363?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
