slick95
Ok, moving on to Day 6: It began with lots of rain and a trip to the museum (the had to pull the warbirds out for a special presetation so we didn't get to see them this time): Some arrivals and departures: The U-2 flew overhead taking pictures for about an hour before decending for a flyby then landing. The C-5 departed but they wouldn't allow a flyby like they normally do. I think it had to do with the airshow schedule and the fixing of equipment on the runway to get the weather radar to work before takeoff. slick95
Now, Thursdays Airshow (again, not all performers photographed). Although the skies were threatening it never did rain: Reno Racers: Ed Hamil: Red Baron Squadron: C-17 arrival and demonstration: End of Day 6: SLICK

slick95
Thanks for the comments guys! And yes, it is a very massive airshow. 10,000 planes and 700,000-800,000 people in attendance! Now, I think I'm on Day 7. Some static, departures, and arrivals: Filming for the Airventure Movie: SLICK
slick95
Here's one for the Tweet/Dog Whistle fans! Now onto the Airshow. Unfortunately this is the airshow that most of you have probably heard about. It was cut short due to the tragic loss of a great pilot during the Reno Air Race demonstration. My prayers go out to his family and friends. SLICK
slick95
A few performers flew farther north after about a 2 hour break, mostly to get peoples minds off what they had just seen. They also blew up all the pyro from the Warbirds since it was cancelled again. End of Day 7: SLICK
slick95
Ok, now Day 8: Some statics: Oh...a SLICK 540! Onto my last airshow Openning jump and skywriting: C-17 Demonstration: Costums UH-60 Demonstration. It's strange how you can see the heat from the ground in this picture: B-2 Flybys (There were actually 2 B-2's One did flyby at VERY low altitude and with the power on for once instead of adding power then pulling it back near the crowd line so that it's silent! It is a very loud aircraft! The other circled overhead.) SLICK
