Hertem
Hi all, I'm starting an USAF F-15 aggressor and I was hoping someone could tell me if it is very common for these aircraft to fly with the TEWS boxes installed. Do they fly with them all the time, sometimes, or never? Thanks, Michael
Hertem
You mean the TEWS pod that's on the left vertical fin? I should have been more specific. I was referring to the "black boxes" in the bay 5 that are part of the AN/ALQ-135 ICS.
Jeff_C
I would assume that they retain all of their capabilities.
ikar
Our ships at Kadena carried them during training flights. I'd think the same owuld apply here as well. It keeps the pilots familar with the system's capabilities and gives them its advantages normally in combat.
