richuk
Hi, I've never been to one of these events before, is it worth making the effort to travel a couple of hours down from the north west? Will there be trade stands as well as displays. Thanks for your input, Rich
saintsdave
Hi,I've never been to one of these events before, is it worth making the effort to travel a couple of hours down from the north west? Will there be trade stands as well as displays. Thanks for your input, Rich Rich This will be my 3rd and I reckon it's worth 2 hours travel by public transport. Current list of traders attending SMW Traders. See you there Dave Edited September 3, 2007 by saintsdave
John Tapsell
Rich, If you're going to visit your first event, then you might as well start with the biggest one in the world... Currently 94 traders booked, stocking virtually every conceivable item that you might want (or didn't know you wanted). Over 100 IPMS Branch and special interest group displays - we usually reckon that we have around 5000 models on display across three exhibition halls. Then there are all the overseas displays - 15-20 different nationalities attending each year. Of course it's worth the trip! (but I'm biased 'cos I'm one of the organisers) Regards, John PS: This is Hall 1 before we set up. Hall 2 is the same size and Hall 3 is almost as big.

richuk
OK, OK, I'm in. I live in Southport inbetween Liverpool and Preston, so if anyone near by is going and want s to share costs then contact me. Getting a days leave from work shouldn't be a problem in November....getting a days leave from the mrs.....could be trickier. Rich
