Look for pics of Equatorien Kfir

Recommended Posts

Hi alls,

I work on a KFIR of Equatorian Air Force and I need your help : I look for photos of the real plane.

This one :

Sources : www.acig.org

It's for the plan of the painting on the real plane, and I would like to verify if there are only two tones of green, I have a doubt...

If you want to look at the assembly, it is here (in french) :

Thanks :cheers:

This photo's pretty tiny, but it does look like just two shades of green on the upper surface:

Slightly better photos:

According to the article that the second two photos came from, "The colors are French, so there aren't direct FS equivalents. However, the lower surface is LIGHT GRAY, near to 36622 and the upper colors are DARK GREEN, close to the 34079 and MEDIUM GREEN, close to 34257."

Thanks to all :coolio:

In view of the Mickey's second photo, I do not follow any more too much sure of the only two tones of green ... it leave me perplexed, it's possible and another color schema on the FAE905.

Not excactly the FAE909 scheme (intermediate green in difuses spots in the light green), but arranged in the dark green.

The question remains opened :(

Know you if several planes carried this three tones scheme ??

David;

Does Dassault make Kfirs? :beer4:

Tomcat;

Kfir is not a plane of Dassault, it was made by IAI (Israel Aircraft Industries Ltd) in Israel. But it was strongly inspired by the Mirage III, the engine is J79 turbojet ;)

Yes I have this decals sheet :D

After the 1995 border clash with Peru; they bought some additional aircrafts for fill up the fleet joint with the CE upgrade package... this as a gap measure to counter the peruvian MiG-29 purchase.. they also added some Python IV missiles...

But due to finnancial delays originated by the crash of ecuadorian econnomy they upgraded some few machines and eventually when money is available; they upgrade one additional machine.. and another some time later.... and so...

regards.-

Alberto.

Hi Alberto from Caracas :woot.gif:

Thank you very much for your precious help !! :worship:

OK for simple maintenance "touch ups" green.

I find the Primeportal kfir photocopes but your Equador Kfir photoscope will be very useful for me.

Regards,

:huh:
