ron
That's new makes me almost ill. Not to dismiss the loss of the pilot god bless but also an historical plane BD707 just had an extensive 6 month rebuild last fall in Duxford and was recovered and repainted in RCAF 402 Sqdr colors. I only just made it's maiden flight in May (9th?). Several former WWI RCAF pilots traveled to Duxford to witness the flight. A sorry loss of both pilot and plane *

Martin W
I have attempted to describe the known facts about yesterday's Shoreham accident in an artice here: http://www.spitfiresite.com/blog/ Sadly, not only was the pilot lost but the aircraft seems to be completely destroyed by fire (see photos at the Daily Mail site) /Martin Edited September 16, 2007 by Martin W

Bafke
Once again very bad news . Seems 2007 isn't favourable to airshows and WWII planes at all . And another RAF fighter, after the Dutch Spitfire earlier this month, luckily without casualties . And what a blooded week 5 dead at Reno, Colin McRae and now BD707 . More info on the Hurricane : BBC Stef
