A Boom Operator's view

Recommended Posts

I have been asked to post my pics on this forum as well (otherwise someone else would do it :D ) so here goes.

On two occasions I got the oportunity to hitch a ride with some KC135's deployed to my airfield. Here are some of the 500 pics I took.

and for the Belgian Falcon, it surely was partly repainted before the flag ?

Thanks everyone.

I'm using a Canon 350D with a 75-300 or the kit lens 18-55. As for reading names on the flight suits I have a few pics where you can read everything in the cockpit. But I'm not showing these pics.

The problem with using zoom is that the windows are thick and sometimes distorted. Especially the side windows.

Here are some more from the collection

AWESOME shots, Kyrre! Thanks for sharing those with us!

<...> That Belgian(?) F-16 sure has an interesting camo pattern ... <...>

I'm pretty sure the Belgians also use the bog-standard Viper camo. Wonder what caused this interesting effect? I've seen a Belgian Viper pic where the stencils reflected differently from the rest of the aircraft, as if they were gloss-coated or something...
