Depends on the airframe for me ...

Legacy Hornets, I like the single seater

Super hornets, I prefer the look of the Family model ...

Flanker series, I prefer the look of the Family model as well ...

So, like I said, depends on the airframe ...

Depends! Smart-a§$ answer, I know! :coolio:

Some cases where I like the dual-seater better are the Supa Hornet, the Flanker and Fishbeds.

A tie with the Viper and the Eagle.

Single-seaters for Fulcrums, Voodoos, Hunters, Legacy Hornets and Mirages.

Depends on the aircraft really...

Aesthetically I prefer single seat:

F-16s

F-15s

Legacy Hornets

Typhoons (the twin stick Tiffy fell from the ugly tree shortly after birth, hitting every branch hard on the way down, before being set upon by dozens of ugly orcs armed with ugly sticks...)

Rafales

Harriers

BAE Hawk

MiG-25 (ever seen the MiG-25U? *shudders*)

MiG-29

Viggen (twin stick just looks wrong, in a similar way to the MiG-25U with a horribly ungainly double bubble appearance)

The twin stick is better for the following:

Gripen

Mirage 2000

Super Hornets

Flanker (including the SU-34 which IMHO is the best looking Flanker variant)

Single seat Eagles and Vipers.

I'm a sort of "apples and oranges" person where the Flanker is concerned. I think both look very good. Same with the single-seat Fulcrum vs. MiG-35, although for some reason the -29UB doesn't look right to me.

Single seaters:

Viper (except the Sufa 2 seater *drool*)

Legacy Hornet

Harrier

F-5

Even split: the Eagle, but prefer the grey hens as single seaters, the two seater look just goes better with the more "muscular" frame of the mud hen.

Two seater:

Super Hornet

That one is so weird it just moves it up into the "so ugly it's beautiful" category - I just had to get the Condor kit.

Hey, I have an Amodel Yak-38U in the stash as well. Now we're talking seriously ugly!

Cheers,

Andre

Flanker is a very beautiful aircraft also as a two-seater. It might get even better with the back seat. Or with a side-by-side seating in the Fullback's case, which in my mind is one of the most beautiful aircraft ever.

Fulcrum doesn't work as two seater that good - partly also because it hasn't got any radar thus making it technically "uglier" as well (that is in my head, of course :bandhead2: ) The new 35 looks good though - it retains the radar and thus the lethality as well.

F-16 definetely doesn't benefit from a second seat, nor does Viggen or MiG-25 (but as said previously, it's so ugly that it's already somehow gorgeus).

I like the looks of the family Floggers and Frogfoots. In the case of the latter, two seater actually looks much much better than the single seater. Typhoons and most Mirages are fine in both ways. Hornets... I really can't say.

Tomcat works best as a two-seater. ;)

Depends really. Some family models look better than their single-seat counterparts...

T-38 (vs. F-5A)

MiG-29UB

(Yeah, I know I'm in the minority on this one - deal with it.)

F-2B

And vice versa...

F-106

F-15

F-104

Still others work well in either configuration...
