upupandaway
Hi rom, BEAUTY! Very nicely done! One question: What did you use in order to reproduce the concrete tiles of the airfield? My Suzy is certainly gonna get some neat parking spot herself and I´m still looking for a way to do this. Greetings!

rom
thank you men!! you're right mario!! good eyes! the part felt, but i didn't noticed that during pictures shots! as for the concrete, i used something called "carton plume" here in france. It's a sort of foam covered with white paper... we find it in large plates. I draw the tiles wiht a pen, preshade it in black, and then use various shades of grey and black to paint hte ground. hope it helps! bye
aspide85
super job rom,a beautiful flanker in an original camo!!
Roland Pulfrew
Rom That looks fantastic, and as others have said, so nice to see a different colour scheme from a different air force. Got to ask, though, what is your technique on the panel lines? They just look so good for a weather beaten in-service jet. Subtle but bl00dy effective.
jabo
Amazing you created such a beautiful Flanker. This is a very nice colour scheme. Greetz, Jabo
rom
thanks men! roland, for the panel lines, i first do a preshading. then i paint the camo, filling the areas , zone by zone, delimited bye the panel lines. Then i spray inside the zones with a lighted color of the camo.... in this way, the lines are highlighted... After that, i spray future, decaling, future again. And here come the wash. i use humbrol. Black, brown.... I fill rudely the lines, let it dry some minutes, then i wipe with a coton swab dipped in thinner in the airflow direction. A part from the wah stays in the engraved lines, and a part let some traces running from them on the plane. And that's done!! Hope i'm clear! don't hesitate to question me again! bye!
