1/48 scale IAF A-10I

Recommended Posts

It has been a long time since I posted anything on my Sandhawg. Well here she is as of July 3, 2008.

I drop the scratchbuilt LGB idea after destorying two trying to cast them. So I'm going with two GBU-12 and two cluster bombs. They is a tonmore detail I'm going to do but just not now, It's Airshow season.

Here's my IAF A-10I "Chazir" as of July 3, 2008.

Really a great read!

I work in 1/32 scale and now I finally know what to do with Trumpeters two seat A-10 kit I have lying around in my stash.

I'll make the Israeli version of it.

A great project.

Other Israeli whatifs will be the Canadian F-86 in Israeli colors of the 1956 era.

Canada was going to sell a bunch of these to Israel but President Eisenhower nixed the deal.

Another that actually happened, sort of, is the French Squadron of F-84's that wore the Israeli insignia and markings of an imaginary Israeli Squadron at the beginning of that short Suez Canal war of '56. After a few days they repainted back to their own French markings.

Lots of fun to be had.

hello!

where did you get this flanker resin set??

Rom,

I have Sol's Su-30 and Su-35/37 conversion kits. I just molded and recast the part I want to use for my Su-33UBK.

I will not sale my Sol conversion kits OR any recast parts.

Topic bumper... Any further progress on the greatest A-10 build on ARC?

Thanks you for such kind words. But my Sandhawg is on hold, about to move out to California in the next few days. Once I get settle in, I will get back to work on her.

Absolutely awesome build - someone on the what if site did an Israeli A-10 some time ago, but this one takes it to a whole new level!

Thanks :woo:

Regarding that Sukhoi FAR project, is that a Pheonix pallet in the middle bag?

;)

Another Q, in with that white plastic gold you're hoarding for yourself are those GE-F110s or P&W F-100s?

And since it is a Pheonix pallet, shouldn't you use the streamlined front one?
