IIRC there were two things in the '50's that weren't supposed to fly one was a bumble bee, the other was a C-119. The only thing wrong is that nobody told either , and the '119 did it even into the late 60's if not further. I wonder how the crews flying "Shadows" felt. I know a few crews who were not all that happy when the AF and Lockheed stretched the '141 and gave it the IFR capability. It made for some long missions headed west.
