B-ONE27
Sig- My-my-my...those 'Hells Angels' shots are the beezness...especially the second shot with the RIO arm hanging out and chute dragging(sooooo many memories of those big VMFA-321 phantoms in that pose alone from childhood)...those were the years They would taxi by my uncles buidling and when we could get their attention they would wave...Andrews was a hive of activity in those years-two phantom based units, not to mention the mind blowing array of visiting planes/units that would stop by-the best summers!!!Thanks for the great pics!!!! Julien (UK)
While going thorough and making a note of all the F-4 images I posted up I found this one; Would I be right in thinking the BU number is 148365, and thus one of the first? Julien
GreyGhost
Julien, it's an F-4J so it's not an early Phantom, unless you mean an early F-4J ... Nice picture, BTW ... Gregg

Gregg Cheers, got my B & J mixed up, I have been lookingat too many phantom pics trying to identify BU numbers, designation and squardons! I do believe this is F-4B 1483365 in its QF-4B coat; This is also an earlyish F-4B 149430 Julien Edited January 23, 2010 by Julien (UK)

Julien (UK)
Nice pic, thats a clean bird. I never did like the way they carried the dark grey up the fin, would have looked much neater if the whole fin was light grey Julien
BAM'n'IVM
I'm loving the pics of the 67th TRW RF-4C's. I grew up in Austin, and I fondly remember Phantoms from Bergstrom AFB roaring over...
