F-4 Phantom Parking Only...

Recommended Posts

I ran these a couple years ago. Seems like a good place to re-run them for any who haven't seen them.

Nebraska RF-4C blowing a tire at the Offutt AFB open house in the early 90's:

It was better in person. The scan quality is poor, so I apologize.

It ain't real but I've yet to see a Michigan ANG phantom and this is the only shot of one I got. Second place winner at the 1984 Nationals in Atlanta...

Great pics of the shark mouth Phantom Roger, especially the first one.

That "little" Phantom is neat! Wonder if that is an RC plane or plastic kit and what scale would it be.....

Looks about 1:10th scale to me ...

I'm not sure what scale it either. The guy with the shaggy hair is RC modeler/RC kit maker Tom Cook(no relation)who recieved a F-4C ride with our unit back in the mid-1980's,the pilot is LTC. Wayne Yarolem, who was our AF advisor and had 5,000 plus hours in the F-4(look for decals of his "5,000 Phantom Hours" F-4C next year).LTC. Yarlolem retired with 6,000 plus hours in the F-4 IIRC in 1991,he still visits the unit from time to time and he always has some great stories to tell!
