Moose135
The bad part about living in a swing state during a Presidential campaign is all the advertising. The good part is seeing the campaign planes on their frequent visits. We had Hair Force One in CLT today. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a clean shot of it over at the FBO ramp, with bizjets and ramp equipment getting in the way. I've gotten shots of it before, so I wasn't too upset. Along with the 757, this Miami Air 734 charter was in with it, which I believe is used for the press.
Moose135
Another day, another campaign plane. Tim Kaine was in Charlotte for an event today, and I ran down to CLT to catch his plane.

Moose135
Mike Pence flew into CLT this afternoon for a campaign stop about 45 minutes north of Charlotte. Left the office a little early and was able to catch it - this makes the full collection of 2016 campaign planes for me!
Ryan Hothersall
One good thing about elections are the aircraft used to ferry the politicians etc around. Back un 2007 during the lead up to the federal election here in Australia, all the larger charter jet aircraft were all being utilized to fly miners to and from mines, so overseas aircraft had to be brought in, so we had Croatian and French registered Fokker 100 aircraft being used. Slartibartfast
No photos but Wings Over Houston occurred this past weekend. Sat in my front yard to watch some of it. Heard a jet and prop behind me but couldn't spot them the first time, they flew three more race tracks before heading over to Ellington which allowed me to see it was a Mustang and F-22. Despite the rather low humidity (for the Gulf Coast) the F-22 was pulling vapor trails the whole way. Edited October 25, 2016 by Slartibartfast

Rich in name only
you caught the EAL DC-7B also.
TaiidanTomcat
Wow Moose, Didn't realize there was such a large "election fleet" until you posted these pics!

That's been living at the Carolinas Aviation Museum since it lost an engine on takeoff in November 2011. It was on a return trip to Florida after flying in with Sully and Skiles for an event to mark the opening of the museum's Miracle on the Hudson exhibit featuring their A320. The Historical Flight Foundation (the plane's owners) didn't have the money to repair/replace the engine, and it sounds like it may never leave CLT. You'll see it in a lot of pictures from CLT, especially from up on the parking deck. TT, it's not a bad deal for the charter companies, having a steady deal for three or four months. I thought it was interesting that the Clinton campaign got both of their aircraft from Xtra Airways, while the Trump campaign got one from Miami Air and one from Eastern. I guess it was an availability issue. I think Eastern sent another 737 to pick up the Pence contingent after the jet overran the runway at LGA a couple of nights ago. 82Whitey51
NAS Pax River Airshow yesterday... Note: If you ever build an SNJ-2 (Belcher Bits does a conversion), the hump on the underside is a fuel tank and the fuselage is 8 inches shorter. The Geico Skytypers use the -2 for the extra fuel they can carry.

I may do my KH kit with the "stickers" on it. The port side pylons and wing underside had these thin lines running the length. Any idea what they are for? I imagine for weapons release recording as well. Edited October 31, 2016 by 82Whitey51

Moose135
Thank you! They landed literally 2 minutes after sunset. I was hoping for a little more light when they arrived, but I do like the way these turned out.

Moose135
Seems like forever since I've been out to CLT, but spending last week in NY killed a lot of my local spotting time. A couple from Friday night: This morning, we had a pair of AH-1W Super Cobras at CLT. They are assigned to HMLA-773 Det B out of Joint Base McGuire in NJ. After midnight last night, we had an Antonov An-124 drop in, so I went out this morning to grab a few shots. It's one I haven't caught before.

Moose135
Francis Ford Coppola owns this colorful Falcon 7X that arrived at CLT this afternoon. The left wing and horizontal stabilizer are painted red, and the left wing/stab are painted green.
