TomcatFanatic123
Was working on some algebra homework and heard the distinct sound of a prop aircraft. Usually around here, sound of props = C-130, but I listened a bit closer and decided that this was an exception to the rule...went outside and saw a beautiful, shiny P-3 at about 1,000 ft. over the house. A-4Silverfox
Saw three Yaks departing the local airfied as I drove past. Two were painted dark grey with red trim and light blue undersides. The other was white with red trim.
The_Animal
Holy Mother of...The Guy upstairs must've heard my kvetching...what did I see today? Decided to step out my front door and head over to the local strip mall to grab a bite to eat. I step out two steps out of my front door and I see two CF-18s coming in loose deuce 500' up so clear I could see the RCAF roundels (and heading for Cold Lake, I presume). Lady luck is shining on me today. You Americans may think that's nothin' new (especially if you live near an airbase but damn it all, it just made my entire friggin' year!!! Yeah!!!! God I love my new place. I'm practically sitting on final approach to YVR (where all the jets come in to land), so I see airliners every day. And now a pair of CF-18s. Gotta love it. The_Animal
Yep, they came overhead right about 3:05. And I'm about at 128th and 96th in Surrey. They were travellin' at a pretty nice clip. Kicking myself for not having the camera in hand. Hey, riff, where'bouts in Abby are ya? Matt Shropshire
I did not see it myself, but the USAF put on a little airshow over Los Angeles today. A neighborhood blog had some pics and the story behind it. LINK
NightHawk
I saw them. The F-16s & the U-2 were circling over Pasadena for about 30 minute. They all made a really low pass right after the B-52 came from the mountains to the north.

AX 365
Less than two hours ago, I was returning to the station from a meeting and I saw, on final approach into Ottawa on runway 25, a Challenger from 412 Transport Sqn and Hawk One on it's right wing. Having never seen a Sabre in flight before, it gave me goosebumps. As my uncle was killed flying a Sabre it was a very profound and sombre experience witnessing a real Sabre in flight rather than watching a video or seeing photos. Unfortunately, no camera.
