Hawkeye's Hobbies
Been gloomy and overcast here lately, but we got a 24 hour break allowing me to get a couple shots. Gas company helo flying literally through the neighborhood inspecting buried gas lines.
SOGman
I was working yesterday close to Tulsa Airport when I heard a sound I had not heard in years. Look up and see beautiful sight. Coming in to land was an F-4E in hill gray paint. Sure brought back memories.
Moose135
Haven't posted much since the move to Charlotte, but today I had a triple treat at CLT... US Dept. of Justice Gulfstream V - word is Dr. Jill Biden, wife of the Vice President, was on board. Looks like someone took a wrong turn at Helsinki...Finnair Embraer E-170 arriving. FlightAware shows it came in from Boston, perhaps heading somewhere for maintenance? The Russian Beast! Antonov An-124 in the house! ETA: I found out the Finnair E170 has been operated by Honeywell since January for test and development work, based out of Phoenix Deer Valley Airport, which makes it an even cooler catch! Moose135
The Louisiana Air National Guard's 159th Fighter Wing, the Bayou Militia, sent a 4-ship of F-15s to Charlotte on Saturday for a flyover of Sunday's Carolina Panther's NFL game. I was able to catch their departure for the game today, as well as their arrival following the flyover.

AX 365
Pardon the quality of the pics but they were taken by a co-worker on his eye-pad. Saw it landing at Ottawa yesterday afternoon. Tail RA - 82012. He must have left last night or early this morning.

geebert
Well living here in Flagstaff,AZ at 7000ft we get quite a few C-130, some F-16, Harriers, Blackhawks, Apaches, and Ospreys doing touch n go's at the local airport. And every now and then USCG rescue hawks flying over.
dylan
saw this big monster sitting on the ramp at YVR

tdogg
Jeez a TON of Antonov's I'm uber jealous!! I've just been seeing the usual YHZ traffic, CRJ's, Dash-8's, Airbus, Westjet sent one of their 738's and all the shots I took of it were a little blurry, and a Top Aces Alpha with a bunch of pods and such.... And to finish off, an A380!!! but it's kinda lacking detail lol flight tracker listed her as SQ26 SIN-FRA-JFK
Winnie
Not from today, I'm on my last week off, before I head back up to work, so I thought I'd take the time to throw in a few pictures. MY machine, what I go to work to fly, one of VERY few Bell 214ST's... Another angle: AS my friend said: "Rotor blades like a cessna wing" which is not untrue! This thing shares the engines, drivetrain and rotor system with the Whiskey model cobras... I work out of CYFB (Iqaluit/Frobisher Bay, Nunavut), and this thingy is in every week: "art photo" shot from airside: Cheers H.
Santini35
One of the VC-25's (Air Force One) practicing around Newport News airport in VA. Was driving, or would have tried and taken a picture.
Adam Baker
I'm not 100% sure, but I think I saw a P-51 as I was walking across the parking lot at the grocery store yesterday afternoon. I've never seen/heard on in person, the only reference I have to go by as far as sound is what they sound like in movies & video clips, and if those are close, then I'm pretty sure it was a Mustang flying over head. waylandcool
I was at the Bears/Seahawks game yesterday and we got a post anthem flyover by a B-2. I couldn't get phone fast enough as the B-2 came over from behind me. That was a great sight.

Kinda of a loophole around aircraft registration. Sean
Hawkeye's Hobbies
Here are a few from recent weeks... Power company inspector checking the high tension lines. Here is series of images taken of a regional jet as it departs from KATW as seen from my backyard. Honk Honk! Foggy morning departure as the full moon sets. A shot of an approaching "High Flier" New G5 heads out on a test flight as it passes over the house.
parche
Last friday, while my coworkers and I were walking out to the plane, we were lucky enough to see a "naked" F-15C do a short take-off straight into a vertical climb that ended with the jet pulling over onto its back, doing a half-roll and bolting off to the east. Pure power. Even though she was about a 1/4 mile away on the runway when she started her takeoff roll, she was louder than our 747 that we were standing right behind that had two engines running. Awesome. Absolutely awesome. Cheers, Dave
