Sunday wasn't a great day for spotting, but it marked the first regularly scheduled Southwest flights into CLT, so I was out for a while.

I wasn't expecting to see this guy with the shift to Southwest metal, but I heard it was a divert into CLT, not sure why.

Falcon 2000 owned by a local financial services company (not mine!) Listening to tower giving taxi instructions was like something out of Airplane!:

"505 Romeo Romeo, turn right on taxiway Romeo."

"Roger, 505 Romeo Romeo, right on Romeo..."

Thanks, Holmes, I really appreciate it! Here's one more for you...

The NY Knicks are in town to play the Bobcats. This is Madison Square Garden's 737-400 used for their flight down. I almost forgot it was going to be here today, and by chance happened to be near the airport after work and swung by to check.

No pictures, but I've been seeing a V-22 Osprey the past few days flying over my house. Maybe I should return that $140 million from that bank heist a few months ago. :wasntme: It's probably from Fort Rucker or somewhere else getting ready for deployment.

RYAN.

No pics, but as I was driving home last night an A380 came rocketing up out of LAX- I've never seen one before! At first I thought it was a seven-four, but the double row of windows gave it away. Man, these buggers is BIG!! It seemed to go slowly, even though I knew it was blasting out like any other carrier.

Thanks Holmes!!

Had an interesting day to say the least!!! These shots are un-edited and there's a lot of 'em so bear with me lol.

Seeing this bird on the airport's webcam is what prompted me to go spotting today as we don't get much russian hardware passing through.

The L1011 was a nice surprise but sadly this heat hazed photo was all I could get as she wasn't going anywhere anytime soon...In fact I didn't think I'd get to see the Antonov fly either but got lucky as you'll soon see

I haven't been able to capture it on film yet, but I have been hearing and getting glimpses of Boeing's DreamLifter cargo plane lately. Yesterday I came out of the grocery store in time to see it pop through an opening in the clouds and disappear in another bank. That thing is LOUD.

On Saturday morning, I was heading across the Puget Sound on one of the ferry's and saw a P-51D with invasion stripes. The sun was glinting off the nose in a way I couldn't tell what kind of coloring it had up front, but with how low it was and it's direction of flight, my buddy and I assumed it was heading to Payne Field in Everett where Paul Allen has his Flying Heritage Museum.

The CLT Overview was closed for a week for the latest episode of Security Theater. It reopened Monday, and I took a ride out tonight after work.

Longer days mean more evening flights arrive in the daylight, and this is the first 762 I've seen since last fall.

Saw this Challenger 300 departing. Registration comes back to a leasing company in Connecticut, but a little digging online shows that the airplane belongs to the Bank of Central America (BAC).
