Exhausted
Agreed Great pics John Tapsell, thats a flight line with variety! Well that and the EGA. Is she the first female Marine aviator in the Blues?
Exhausted
Had an OV-10G+ doing some testing over the weekend. OV-10G+ by John Lequerica, on Flickr What a sight! I would love to qualify on the OV-10 and later buy one for personal use. Who/what is the G+ model for? Does it have anything to do with this? Moose135
We had a National Airlines 757 drop into CLT this morning on a NASCAR crew charter for this weekend's races in Phoenix. Appalling weather, but I had to get out and catch it.
Ryan Hothersall
We had a National Airlines 757 drop into CLT this morning on a NASCAR crew charter for this weekend's races in Phoenix. Appalling weather, but I had to get out and catch it. It always happens when something usuanal come, the weather doesn't cooperate. Where I am, Adelaide South Australia we had a 757 with a soccer team from Uzbekistan arrive during cold rainy weather, but that didn't stop us locals from getting it's arrival. Moose135
The sun came out a bit this afternoon, so I took another ride out to CLT. Big Friend, Little Friend - the new AA colors come in all sizes and shapes these days. Via Air, operated by Charter Air Transport, operates Essential Air Service to Beckley, WV from CLT, with a couple of Embraer E-120s. They were regulars at Republic Airport on Long Island in the past, flying gamblers to Atlantic City.
Moose135
I'm not in NY much to see these guys, but we occasionally see the over Charlotte. No word yet on whether this will retain the Arizona scheme once it gets American Airlines titles. The new hourly deck affords some interesting views, as when the occasional departure passes in front of the skyline.

Winnie
No pictures, but seen the worlds ugliest plane, and Extra 400, on N register yesterday. good golly...
Alan in Yorktown
Actually was earlier in week, but there were 8 RAF Typhoons parked on the ramp at Langley AFB.
Devilleader501
Bell is here doing hot weathering testing on the small missile launchers on the nose of the plane. This plane looks badass. Im not sure if they were going for a tribal design but to me it looks hella cool. If I build one of these things It will look like this. I asked for a patch but I guess Bell doesn't what to deal with them so I got shafted. They at least let me get a pic of it for my own stash. Ryan Hothersall
KC-153R 58-0051 arrived into Adelaide, South Australia today from Hickam, Hawaii. The local enthusiasts were out in force for this one. USAFKC-135R-58-0051 by ryanhothersall, on Flickr
Moose135
KC-153R 58-0051 arrived into Adelaide, South Australia today from Hickam, Hawaii. I just checked my log book...I flew this this aircraft, as an A-model, in June 1985. It was assigned to the 93rd Bomb Wing at Castle AFB - and I have one sortie, 7.2 hours, 5 landings during KC-135 crew training. Good to see her still going strong! Ryan Hothersall
The exotic visitors continue to arrive here in Adelaide. Today Gulfstream 550 N989AR. Gulfstream550-N989AR by ryanhothersall, on Flickr Now we have had these, we'll probably now not see anything unusual for a couple of months. It's feast then famine. Ken Cartwright
I work under one of the flight paths for Miramar, and see all kinds of Marine Corps aircraft going overhead (F/A-18Cs and Ds, Ospreys, etc.), but today I saw something I'd never seen before - three Apache helicopters. Not sure if they were U.S. Army, or U.K., since I believe the U.K. does some training in El Centro and surrounding areas.

Moose135
Catching up on a few shots from the past couple of weeks... Two weekends ago, we had one round of the NCAA March Madness tournament in Charlotte, and we had a bunch of biz jets in town. This Gulfstream IV is owned by Salamander Services, who own and operate several luxury hotel/resorts. Salamander is owned by businesswoman Sheila Johnson, co-founder of BET Network. Falcon Air Express MD-83 brought the local Davidson College team home from Seattle after playing in the NCAA tournament. And a couple of shots from the CLT parking deck today. Moose135
Took a ride up to RDU (Raleigh-Durham) on Saturday. They have two nice observation areas. FlightAware showed an "Air Georgian" CRJ arriving from Toronto - I had never heard of them, so I was really interested to see what would show up. Not exactly what I was expecting... :-( Over at the GA terminal, the Philadelphia Flyers hockey team was getting ready to head home following an afternoon game with the Carolina Hurricanes. Yes, you can get this close... This was an interesting catch. First time I've seen split scimitar winglets in person. The life of a charter pilot - standing around waiting on the clients to show up. Not exactly what I was expecting... :-( Yeah, Air Georgian, who also fly a number of Beech 1900's for Air Canada, recently added CRJ's to the fleet and picked up a few routes from Jazz. Other then some new Reg's to eep track of, nothing too spectacular. Sean

Moose135
Thunderstorms in Atlanta meant a rare treat for CLT spotters - a British Airways 777 from LHR diverted into CLT this evening. After nearly two hours, they departed for the rest of the trip to ATL. Ludicrous levels of ISO and subsequent noise reduction on this one!
