Moose135
I'm back in NY for Thanksgiving, and got out to JFK this afternoon - spent a couple of hours at Bayswater catching 13R departures. AeroMexico in various sizes... Etihad Airways is the latest A380 operator into JFK, starting service earlier this week.
Ishthe47guy
Nice shots Moose. The lighting in the A380 shots are fantastic. From experience, Etihads A380s are just as nice on the inside (well, the upper deck anyways) as they are on the outside.
dylan
those Etihad shots are pretty great. I havent done a lot of shooting lately, It was nice to get out in the fresh air and get some shots today. Edited November 30, 2015 by dylan

ST0RM
Love those retro schemes. I catch them at the airport from time to time, but never in position for a pic. Or with my good camera. -Jeff

Sentry30
Nice shots! Taken in the UAE?? They actually flew that OV-10 down there, or did they have it shipped? Daniël
Ishthe47guy
Sentry, yep, taken at the Al Ain Aerobatic Championship, UAE. I didn't get the opportunity to talk to the ground crew, so I cant verify how it made the trip. I looked up the distnce from Brussels to Dubai to get an idea of the distance, and its a touch over 3,000 miles. If they flew it, that's got to be at least a 4 to 5 day trip each way at 230 knots and 500 mile hops.
worldslaziestbusker
Four Eurocopters running ten minute circuits taking tourists over the Twelve Apostles on the Victorian west coast. Two minute turnarounds and hot refueling. Last time I was there they had one Eurocopter and some R-44s. Business is booming and the remaining R-44 lies idle.
Ryan Hothersall
First of the Canadair Challenger 604s for Cobham Aviation Services here in Adelaide was delivered today 30 December 2015. Cobham recently won the AMSA Australian Maritime Safety Authority search and rescue contract, so will be using three Challenger 604s. This is the first one. Cobham has their headquarters here in Adelaide, so will be a busy time for us. Challenger604-C-FIDT-4 by Ryan Hothersall, on Flickr Additional information. dylan
I actually had some time for a little spotting today. there are a couple of these furry guys running around YVR, I named this one Don. this 777 was just sitting on the taxiway for about 10 minutes, then went back to the gate. A rare military visitor to YVR, an RAF Herc. I am still in love with the 787 thanks KLM for sucking all the water and crap off the runway for us. and the reason I actually left my nice cozy hangar. worldslaziestbusker
I took my son and a friend to Essendon to see if we could see the Skycrane taking a day off from the bushfires. My son carried his Lego representation of the S-64, the plan being that someone would see a cute kid trying to get close to his favourite helicopter and take us airside to pose beside it's bulk. The hole in that plan is that the Essendon terminal is terminally quiet and no-one so much as saw us. Here's as close as we got: Here's some Lego mediated mock ups of the photos I wanted to get: Optimism. I haz it.
Ryan Hothersall
Worldslaziestbusker, here's some close up and action photos of the Skycrane. First up is when the aviation group i'm a member of here in Adelaide, got a tour of one at Brukunga in the Adelaide hills. This is the training center for the Country Fire Service. S-64 Close Up Then it was used to fight a fire at an oil recycling depot in Wingfield in the northern suburbs of Adelaide. S-64 Fire Fighting Action

We've only seen the Essendon unit flying past in the middle distance. Still impressive that far away but I hope I find a way to see one as close as you did, sometime. 11bee
Anyone see a five engine 747 flying overhead lately? I know it's a standard configuration to be used if necessary but still pretty cool. http://home.bt.com/news/world-news/qantas-boeing-747-takes-off-with-excess-baggage-a-spare-engine-for-another-jumbo-jet-11364032579332
Moose135
Some interesting visitors to CLT the past few days. Friday, we had an Atlas Air 747 freighter come in. It was here to pick up relief supplies for Nepal, donated by Samaritan's Purse, a North Carolina based charitable organization. It was a cloudy and rainy morning, and of course, the rain picked up when he was on final. It was supposed to leave Friday night, but it's still here, waiting on parts after it broke. Hopefully I might get shots of it in better conditions before it leaves. Delta 757, flew the Milwaukee Bucks in for an NBA game against the Charlotte Hornets Saturday night. Delta A330, brought the Seattle Seahawks in to play the Carolina Panthers in tomorrow's NFL playoff game.
