Moose135
Summer nights, and you have to keep an eye on CLT - thunderstorms in Atlanta caused this KLM 777 to divert until they cleared.
Ishthe47guy
Seems kind of odd to have emergency vehicles for a weather divert... Was there something else going on with that flight?
dylan
the fire trucks are there because the pax are still on board while fuelling
Moose135
It was a busy day around the old air patch today. President Obama came to Charlotte this afternoon. And thanks to some strong storms in Atlanta again, we had a Virgin Atlantic A346 drop in. In a strange set of events, just before they were ready to leave, we had a big thunderstorm roll through, and our daily Lufthansa A330 ended up diverting to Greenville, SC. Lancer512
Three weeks ago, I saw my first Airbus A400M. Actually, this is the second one (54+02) of a total of three delivered to the GAF. The first one (54+01) came for the actual event the next day, but the weather was crap. The pictures were taken during the preparations for the Open House of the german armed forces (Bundeswehr) at Neuburg/Danube in Bavaria on June 10th, 2016. And two weeks later, this italian Alenia C-27J Spartan of the Aeronatica Militare came to our airfield to pick up paratroopers. Moose135
That A400M is an interesting looking bird. I caught an RAF one at LAS last year. Some neat stuff at CLT today... Gulfstream G-V D-AUTO, owned by the BMW auto company. Three different visiting C-130s. Air Force C-130H belonging to the 910th Airlift Wing from Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio. A pair of USMC KC-130J tankers of VMGR-234 in Forth Worth, TX. Smoke 'em if you got 'em!

Brian 1
The atac jets fly over my house nearly every day, never get tired of seeing them.
john53
I am guessing it's a P-8. It over flew my home in Clearwater Fl several times so I am guessing it was doing touch and go's or a racetrack pattern. It was about 1900 hours or so, I live a few miles from the Clearwater-St Pete USCG air station, usually I am buzzed by HC-130H's.I enlarged the picture and could almost make out the Bu number under the stab, looked like 158440.---John IMG_6672 by jvandeu53, on Flickr Edited July 28, 2016 by john53

Moose135
Here's a bunch of stuff that's been sitting around while the site was having issues. I was back in New York and caught the beginning of UN Week. This is a Qatar Amiri Flight 747-8, used by the royal family and other government officials. Virgin Atlantic 787 Air Serbia A330 Japan Airlines 787 Royal Jordanian 787 Back in Charlotte, USN F/A-18F of VFA-41 drops in for a visit. Caught this during a campaign stop. Moose135
The bad part about living in a swing state during a Presidential campaign is all the advertising. The good part is seeing the campaign planes on their frequent visits. We had Hair Force One in CLT today. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a clean shot of it over at the FBO ramp, with bizjets and ramp equipment getting in the way. I've gotten shots of it before, so I wasn't too upset. Along with the 757, this Miami Air 734 charter was in with it, which I believe is used for the press.
