Hajo L.
When I grabbed my new EC-145 and the camera today I also used the opportunity to take some pictures of my EH-101 I finished some years ago. I camoed it in the way some RAF Chinoks were painted during Desert Storm for night operations. HAJO
ChernayaAkula
Really cool! ;) I camoed it in the way some RAF Chinoks were painted during Desert Storm for night operations. Or the "RAF" Mi-8 they used in one of the Bravo Two Zero films. :)
Hajo L.
Yep... Sorry for the missing "o"... I actually happened to buy and read Bravo Two-Zero during the last weeks. Quite good book, although many things later turned out to be a bit fictional... HAJO Edited October 6, 2007 by Hajo L.
ChernayaAkula
Oh, my highlighting the Chinook was only in regard to the Hip of the films. I only noticed the spellie now that you pointed it out. Regarding the "fictional", or a least partly, I don't know. A lot of people have written books on that, some of whom were actually there, some who weren't but should have been in the know and several that were neither there nor could be in the know. If you enjoyed Bravo Two Zero, also get Immediate Action!
Dr. Tran
Owwwww.... My eyes! (Nice build job - it's just that it looks like a camo scheme that would have been designed by Adriana from The Sopranos) Edited October 7, 2007 by Dr. Tran
Toad
Oh yeah....nice build ! I'm sure the boys would be more than happy to fly into combat in a nice merlin. Great job !
Aggressor Supporter
Very unique, for sure.
richuk
Great idea in painting up the Merlin in this scheme, I think it looks great. How about sticking a tail gun on the ramp! How long did it take you to paint that camo. I have a Chinook waiting in the loft to be decorated the same way. Nice job. Rich
Hajo L.
I don´t remember how long it took me to paint that camo, but it was something I was really looking forward to during the build. I think in the end it was about one hour, and some more minutes the following days to make another black spot here and there. Since it has been applied "in the field" on the Chinooks you don´t have to waste too much time and effort on beeing accurate... HAJO
