dawestsides
NICE pictures!! thank you very much for sharing!quick q - what the heck is that flame at the rear about? i mean - that's an open flame... what's that for? Shark This is fuel released during engine start-up through a "bleed" valve to purge the combustion system at low pressure when the ratio Fuel/Air is still not sufficient to provide a good efficiency. For safety reason it can't be released unburnt (risk of explosion) so it is ignited, thus controlled. HOLMES
Right what I thought.I have some sadly gone glory... The Illfated Black 63 from radom in full force during the rehearsals on friday before show: P.S. Speaking about Radom, that black Su-22's hog on the nose is nicked from the Arkansas ANG... so I think it could have been done with a little more imagination as you could see with that horse nose-art. Enjoy!

Flankerman
Ken, when you'll make you Su-30SM model - please consider one nuance of wonderfull eggplant scheme Hi Andrey..... I noticed that already........ The Chinese J-15 has a similar 'unpainted' bit where the taileron is at max deflection....... http://i1163.photobucket.com/albums/q552/luritie/J-11BHsmall_zps3364becf.jpg ... even on the unpainted scheme..... http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wEtH56XQVLg/ULEt0b0N4MI/AAAAAAAASeQ/lzbbTkJ2w_0/s1600/J-15+test+4.jpg I wonder why ??? - as a very obvious indicator showing taileron travel ??? Very interesting..... Ken PS - Did your Dream Model Su-30MKK fins arrive yet? - mine haven't.

Flankerman
Mine arrived today - ten days door-to-door - excellent service from Hobby Easy. I have reviewed them on my Su-20MKK build here. Ken

J-15 is not "unpainted", it is painted in yellow... What you see under the tailoron line is unpainted, just treated like "naked" T-50's and Su-35S'. There is no mystery to this, it is simply lazyness.
