What a gorgeous machine - and a stunning camouflage scheme - so menacing with that black canopy surround. This photo of the cockpit shows the bungee chord going from the top of the K-36 ejection seat to the canopy frame. It's a detail missed on lots of (larger scale) models - it is, I think, to arm the seat after the canopy is blown off. Once you know where to look, you can see it in lots of photos - here it is on a single-seater....... Excuse the handsome jet jockey (me at Kubinka in 1994).
