Hasegawa Colorful CAG Corsair

Recommended Posts

last night i read the instruction for this kit.

basically this is not a new kit afterall... rebox with new marking. that's alright with me.

but when i scan the new painting instruction, i noticed that for the VA-25, the color code given to the top front and the vertical stabilizer is H66 = RLM Sandy Brown. When i compare to the box art, this color is something green.

Can someone verify what is the right color..

thanks

Hi,

I don't have my Gunze paint chart with me, but Hasegawa instructions cross references between Gunze Mr. Color & Gunze Aqueous paints, which don't necessarily share the same code.

Did you by chance happen to mistake a Mr. Color code for an Aqueous code? If not, maybe you could check out what is the equivalent Mr. Color code in the instructions, and get a better idea?

Jason

I suspect that is the case, as Gunze Mr. Color H66 is "Bright Green" (H26 on the Gunze Aqueous chart).

H numbers shown in white sqares in the instructionsheet are waterbased Gunze acrylics, named "Gunze Mr Hobby". Numbers in blue or black sqares are Gunze laquers, named Mr Color. They have no "H" in front of the paintcode.

I think "H" means "Hydro" = waterbased
