Najk
Hey guys! I'm a newbie here on the forum, but not all that new to modelling. :) I've tried searching the forum on this topic, but with no luck. Has anyone got some decent pictures or scale plans on the DC-10F? Main panel lines, outlines of the cargo door, and so on? It would really help me getting that Airfix DC-10 started. TIA! //Niklas from Sweden
carioca
Hi Niklas, and welcome to the looneys´ home! (GREAT looneys, I must say! ) Well, what i have here is a DC-10 Passenger version profile, maybe it´ll help you a little, you should yet check the cargo door area panel lines before getting into work on this. Here it goes: Best regards! Eduardo, from Brazil
David Walker
These may help with the cargo door: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1276697/L/ http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1274795/L/ http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1272758/L/ http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1261172/L/ http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1224890/L/
David Walker
And a larger version of the panel lines (though you'll have to print these out and tape them together):
Najk
Thanks for the help guys, it'll do a lot to my kit! Will post in progress pics, whenever I manage to get the kit started... //Niklas Edited October 13, 2007 by Najk
David Hingtgen
Main cargo door is 140 x 102 inches. That doesn't take into account the curvature of the fuselage. It's a 102in high opening. ::edit:: I see you're from Sweden, so metric would probably be more useful. 355.6cm by 259.1cm Edited October 14, 2007 by David Hingtgen
