okthree
I usually use Testor Model Master paints. I picked up a tin of Humbrol at my LHS today and was planning on airbrushing. What is the best thinner, besides Humbols own brand (I am assuming they make their own) for air brushing?
David Walker
I use lacquer thinner, but then that's what I use for Model Master enamels too. It seems to do a great job with Humbrol paints.
okthree
David, I usually use MM thinner for their MM paint. I'll give the Lacquer thinnner a try for the Humbrol. Thanks for the reply. Mark
Hawk10
I use enamels almost universally (Testors, Testors MM, Humbrol and even some bottles of Pactra that are still usable). I've used a DuPont Enamel reducer for years to thin all of them without any noticable problems. However, I will probably be switching to laquer thinner (which seems to work just as well) when I buy my next gallon because I was informed that the enamel reducer is going to be deleted from the DuPont line. (buying thinner by the gallon is a whole lot cheaper) Edited October 18, 2007 by Hawk10
