NAJ
A slow start....the Aries cockpit.
NAJ
And the pilot's panel. Again, from the Aries set.

NAJ
And having fitted it, using old canopies (note 'scrap' written on in pen) to mask off the cockpit enclosure. The Cutting Edge seamless intakes fitted like a dream.
Woodman
That's one sweet looking office there. ;) I've got one of those Aires pits ready to go into an F-4B - can't wait. ;)
NAJ
Some gear shots. Still more wiring / detail to add on the nose gear door. ...whilst the main gear are nearly there....
NAJ
and the main gear bay.... The big ole hole at the top is some kinda cooling doors for the engine bay. Hasegawa mold these in place, but trying to thin them out caused them to break off - so I made up new ones from plastic card.
NAJ
The exhausts are kit items, detailed with Eduard inside. Leaving these unpainted, and then putting a lighter over them quickly gives a nice, natural burnt metal effect inside.
NAJ
Last ones for now - some ordnance shots. The gun, with scratch built muzzle (plastic rod and strip of tin foil). The Flectecher tanks, with thin strips of Tamiya tape for wled seams. The ballast AIM-7 for the front bays...
NAJ
...and then the inner pylons (before weathering). Replaced the kit launchers, and added some wire detailing (not sure what they do, but photos show a fine wire running form the main pylon to a pin on the rail). And finnally, a range pod and drill acquisition round - again before weathering. Need to do some more work on the acquisition round - not sure the fuze unit (the steel bit) should be present.... Thanks for looking, Regards NAJ

ShaunBD
Amazing work!! What markings are you planning to build your Phantom in? The Aries cockpits sets are very nice. I have the F-4G cockpit set myself, it really looks the part. Like the paint chipping you've added on the undercarage. I've also notise you have added the seamless intake set aswell, looks like a serous project. Shaun. Edited October 21, 2007 by ShaunBD
