Fuji
Looking for photos of VS-24 S-3B's on their last cruise and de-commisioning. Need the ones with the FL liscense plates painted on the rear. VS-30 did that as well. I only have images for their last CAG jet with the tag. One of those things I never looked at the back of the jets that closely (not usually any markings there) and missed them entirely! The VS-24 jets could be former VS-30 jets that never had the tags painted out.

Big Har
As you all know the S-3 has just about past into history, however NASA is operating the type for a series of atmospheric testing. A caught this one at the NAS Jacksonville Airshow 10/08. Harry
Sunliner
After Johns pic above there, I'm going to stop sweating it when I get too much glue and/or putty in a seam again. -mike
Collin
As you all know the S-3 has just about past into history, however NASA is operating the type for a series of atmospheric testing. A caught this one at the NAS Jacksonville Airshow 10/08. Harry JD and Al look so nice in their blue flight suites. Great shots Harry. VX-30 should have their S-3's by now at PT Mugu. They are shutting down the NAVAIR S-3 office in a week or so. The lights are slowly being turned off. Cheers Atis
Spongebob
At least one model contest judge just had a stroke because of this pic...
Collin
At least one model contest judge just had a stroke because of this pic... They forgot to sand the seam down smooth after they used liquid cement and squeezed the parts together to get that "bead" of plastic. I don't know if you had that seam putty crap on the E-2C, but that stuff was always flaking or pulling off. Our maintainers worked hard to keep that stuff sealed. Cheers Atis
Spongebob
Just the standard random-shade-of-gray RTV, but not much on the E-2 since we could get to almost everything from inside the aircraft and there is very little composite/fibre on the airframe. Sponge
