Keith Diamond
Keith, where is this museum you keep posting pics from? I wanna GO there! Carolinas Aviation Museum in Charlotte, NC. It's next to the airport and the NC ANG. Fortunately, it was open cockpit day, so I got to look into the Harrier cockpit. I've read that the Harrier is usually covered up, except for certain days like that. They also allowed visitors to walk in the CH-46, HH-3 and a few other aircraft, but you had to be escorted by CAP cadets, so I decided against that. j/k Its a nice small museum, with some aircraft in great condition, and some in very poor condition. Nice displays on the inside of the hanger, with some nicely built models. Overall, it was a good escape this weekend since I was having a stressful week, and a very stressful weekend. Aggressor Supporter
I didn't realize how tight the Harrier's cockpit is. Not much wiggle room for sure.
PlasticWeapons
I didn't realize how tight the Harrier's cockpit is. Not much wiggle room for sure. Try sitting in an A-4 Skyhawk or an AV-8A or the F-16...not much room to wiggle. The AV-8B is more "roomy." Edited October 13, 2009 by PlasticWeapons

FlyARGuard
I think I can help. The first is a GB (green bomb) and the second is a BB (blue bomb). Hope that helps!
hemspilot
Given the year I'd guess the green ones are Mk.20s and the blue ones Mk.83s. The black and white markings on the slicks may be for photographic reference....

Collin
Nice pics. There is always this thread here also:http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....howtopic=135078 How about this for a teaser. andyman_1970
From what I've seen on here I'm in no hurry to get one of those Trumpy Harriers (that's saying alot I'm a HUGE Harrier fan). The only option is the orginal "Day Attack" version, no current "Night Attack" or "Radar Bird" version..........yet. There is a thread in the "Jet Modeling" section. Looking through the instructions it looks like the gun pods are inaccurate, they look like the 25mm Aden pods used on the GR.1 & 3 versions. For the price of participation I'm not too excited......I'll be waiting for a more modern and hopefully accurate version.

My opinion: Someone will have a resin correction kit out out to fix the Trump issues with their Day-Attack variant and a resin kit to upgrade to a Night-Attack/Radar Bird will be on the market soon afterward. Would love to have a nice day and radar bird on the shelf like this. But I will think about it after building the 1/48 variants. Cheers ATIS
