rotorwash
Here's at least one of the ones you posted in higher res: Finally, one of my favorites: THat's about all of the good ones I have. However, I have some walkaround shots of her from the Army Aviation Museum if you are interested. Ray

rotorwash
One of the most interesting things about N209J to me is the emergency landing "posts". As you can see, they were pulled from each winglet and placed in a special holder to support the helicopter if the retractable skids failed. I bet that would be "fun" for the ground crew with the bird in a hover! I'd love to know if it was ever tested. retractable skids:

SuperCobra
I'm out of N209J too. Oh well back to the plain old W. The W is the muscle car of Cobras whereas theG was the sports car. So, more of the SuperBird:

So, more of the SuperBird: Well, as i mentioned before, your walkaround pics of the Rucker Cobras are mostly better than mine, but here are a few pics that I took of them that I like because of the perspective. SuperCobra
Thanks - can never have too many walkarounds. These are all basic AH-1Ws of HMM-161 circa 1992. We lost aircraft 42 on that float - RIP Beav and Jonesy. Edited October 27, 2008 by SuperCobra

I'm just a civilian, but I have the greatest respect for all you guys that help keep us all safe back home. Thanks to all of you for your service. Here's a few of a AH-1F at Redstone Arsenal. rotorwash
Great walkaround of that AH-1F. Glad you guys are enjoying the show. I live for this stuff! One of these days I'll get organized and submit these for official walkarounds. Until then, here's a little tour of the armament on the AH-1S on display at the Army Aviation Museum Ray

rotorwash
So we are back onto AH-1W's now I see. Here's a walkaround I already put over at FSM, but I guess it belongs here too. This bird visited an Auburn airshow earlier this year. She was headed back to the Gulf at the time. I figured the turned exhausts were kinda interesting so I took a break from the UH-1N to snap a few shots of her.
