LemonJello
I was just doing random searches on Greatmodels and came across a listing for an HH-3E in 1/48. It's a Lindberg kit, so I have absolutely no idea on shortcomings or the like. It has an expected release date of 1st Quarter 2008 according to GM's site. Who knows if we'll see it then or not, but at least its something, right?

Just from this photo it looks like it has merit.
grandadjohn
From tje looks of the photo, it looks like the old 1/72nd release
MAG One
Lindberg did have an HH-3 in 1/72 scale. I wonder if this listing is a typo and we are going to get another repop. The Lindberg was not a very good kit as I remember. It would be nice to see this historic bird in 1/48 scale. LemonJello
Well, I for one hope its a decent kit. If it isn't, well, then the AM companies can make up for some of the bigger shortcomings and evergreen stock can help with the rest. I'd just like to have a Jolly to go next to my Skyraider. RotorheadTX
Yup, sorry to say it, but it's gotta be a typo. They've got both the HH-3 and the SH-3 listed as 1/48th and they were only issued as 1/72nd scale kits previously.
X-RAY
Dude, the kit shown in the picture looks almost nothing like pics of the real thing. Jake
Dan 88
Man I remember building that kit when I was a kid. Didn't last long when I finished it though....... :D Daniel
alouette2
it's a TYPO boys, just got email back from Ernie @ Lindbergh and he confirmed the typo...guess we'll still have to wait....
otis252
Oh yeah Daniel, Think I firecrackered mine. Did you go for this or the ever popular dio with Ronson lighter fluid and a match? Cool black smoke on that one. Chuck
LemonJello
Typo? Bummer. Someone needs to pop a 1/48 plastic kit of the Jolly.
X-RAY
TYPO????? How could one get it that wrong?!? Jake
Randy Wise
Dude, the kit shown in the picture looks almost nothing like pics of the real thing. I'm glad you said what I was thinking. The front office looks bleak. I have the old Revell kit. Thankfully it looks better than that. Randy
