Hasegawa EA-6B Prowler

Recommended Posts

Haseagawa's 1/72 Prowler kit with the addition of the Golden Dragon resin cockpit. The fit of the cockpit wasn't the greatest, but the detail is a vast improvement over the "lawn chairs" and decals the kit supplies. The markings are a very old Scalemaster sheet that surprisingly worked perfectly. Pollyscale paints were used and I applied a light oil wash as those gull gray/white birds stayed pretty clean.

Wow, I remember when "Scale Modeler" first reviewed this back in a, a, a, well it was quit some time ago (anyone know what year that was?) and I thought it looked great then and it still looks good today.

Nice build!

Cheers,

Larry...

Nice looking Prowler!

I've got the same kit on my workbench right now. If mine turns out half as good as yours I'll be happy.

Mind if I asked how you glued the front canopy together?

A very careful application of Tenax. I masked the areas around the seam to avoid scratching them and then sanded the seam smooth. Some final polishing and a dip in Future cleaned everything up.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone!
