Hey Guys,

For the past couple of years I've been using Testors Compressed Air Cans and they've been doing the job fine. However, I realized it's time for me to get a compressor. I have an Omni 4000 airbrush and a cable with an end that connects to these cans. I'm looking for a relatively cheap and quiet compressor. I'm assuming I would also need a new cable to connect my airbrush to the compressor. Any suggestions?

Thanks

The one I'm using is an el cheapo I got from Home Depot. It's a Delta with a 2gal tank. I added a water trap, and quick release fittings. All in, it cost less than $100.

It's not the quietest thing in the world, but I can fill the tank, and spray the camo on an entire 1/48 aircraft on one tank. Since the 4000 is gravity fed, I can run it at 10psi without issue, which allows me more spraying time.

Cheers,

Kevin

You can connect direct. The Badger hose has a 1/4" NPT fitting on one end, which can be screwed in directly to the output of the compressor. Just seal the threads with teflon tape to prevent leakage. I only added an adapter because I was using quick release fittings.
