madmike
Just a few words to get this build/blog thread going and it is certainly good to be back building a plane again. A month ago, I was not even looking at aircraft models, now I am cutting plastic I have chosen to build this old chestnut as a shelf partner for my old Dragon MiG-15bis. The kit has a low parts count and at this stage assembles with the usual filler needed for many old kits whose moulds are past their prime. Pics will follow as soon as possible. Now I wonder if a Pavla bang seat will fit into the box that passes for a cockpit tub...hmmm.... :D MikeJ
madmike
Well, finally some progress. Currently I have assembled the fuselage, wings and tailplane and made good each join. As this kit is ancient, there was a lot of work to be done. Cockpit detail is non existent, so I abandoned the thought of using a Pavla resin bang seat. Here is a pic taken a few days back before final fuselage assembly. At least I am building a plane again and should have this finished before GB end. I am trying to! :) :D MikeJ
