aerofan Posted January 29, 2008 Share Posted January 29, 2008 I have made several attempts at getting in contact with him via pm's and emails thru ARC. We agreed on a trade where I sent him two 1/72 scale Fujimi A-7B Corsair II's for his 1/48 scale Hasegawa F-15D/DJ. His last pm to me was on Dec. 14, 2007 letting me know that we have a deal, his mailing address and that he'll mail out the F-15D/DJ on Saturday. I last pm'd him on Dec. 22, 2007 to let him know that I mailed out the two A-7B's in the morning. In that pm, I also asked him if he mailed out the F-15D/DJ and if not to let me know when. Each week after that I have pm'd him about the status of the kit and each time no replies. I've emailed him many times with no replies. It has been about 6 weeks now and still nothing. Fasteagle12 has a similar problem contacting AJ. Liberator24 has been trying to help by also pm'ing AJ but also getting nothing. Also the last time triple3 'AJ' logged into ARC was Dec. 23, 2007. From these, I decided to be patient but it has now gone too far and I'm now left to label Art Johnson aka "triple3" of Panama City, Florida a Bad Trader. MINE especially, he has done nothing but be an outstanding guy here on ARC. I have had three trades with him back and forth in the last year, plus numerous PM's and a few phone calls... His Uncle, I think, is one of the officers at Tyndall.....what I think Dave and the other guys are saying is if he has dropped off the site altogether, he might be in some kind of real emergency.... I know it would have to be VERY important for him to leave ARC. He is one of the biggest fans.....if Steve Bamford stops ARC and fell off the planet, we gonna give him a Bad Trader? Everyone from all over the world would be looking for him. So I am going to try my best just to see if he is still alive, much less in a condition to honor trades.... Dave, I have been doing my best to find out what happened to AJ and have been more than patient. I could have immediately put up this post without asking around first. But it seems that no one knows or his buddies aren't posting replies. I checked the good traders forum and found a number of good replies before I even pm'd him about the trade. That's why I took so long to do this and plus because my other postings were getting no where. Posting here was the only other thing I could do as I have done everything from pm's, email and snail mail. Even though it seems to be a bad idea it has worked in getting atleast two people to see if he's okay. Thank you Liberator24 and RCoulter52 for helping out. I also pm'd Liberator24 with AJ's address. Personally, I don't have to funds to fly out to Panama City Florida to find out for myself and hopefully either Liberator24's family or RCoulter52's friend can find out what happened to him. Waited again to see if AJ would reply by snail mail but nothing yet. Still branding triple3 as a bad trader for now. Let's hope he'll be a man and mail me the kit promised in our trade. Not dragging Jim through the coals but just posting the current status of this - maybe it could have been worded differently. Funny thing is that there were many long time ARC'ers who had good trader postings about triple3 so at the time I felt safe to make a trade with him. I do appreciate the help given but since it sounded like Jim and AJ were going to an airshow in this month, I thought Jim was in good contact with AJ see this post. Well, I'll just keep updating on this and I know people will get tired / sick of it but bad traders need to be seen. Until AJ comes through you'll see more updates. I sent another snail mail letter with a SASE (self addressed stamped envelope - correct US postage of course) so AJ has no excuse not to be able to reply as I'm not sure if he's got financial, marital, family or legal problems. Now, since aerofan has left a nice post and I have not noticed what all has been said I will bring him, I mean everyone up to date.... When I saw the bad trader was getting worse, I remembered that I bought a Has F-4 from him a couple of months before. I asked him to drop it off in Panama City with my parents. He gave me his cell so I could let me mom know where to pick it up. They met at a Walmart down the road from my grandparents, and made the exchange. I had talked to him on that day about the Tyndall show, which I will not be at, so I can hang with the Real Men in VA this August! Anywho, he said he had a relative that worked on base and he was able to hang out with us for the show. Now, I have never MET the guy, but talked to him on the same number I gave to Aero.....I called that same number and talked to him about the trades the day I gave the number to aero. He said he would take care of everyone, and to give him a call. Aero, if the number is not working, he has stuck you.....I am sorry. Didn't see it coming, but he did...you are not the only one. I have also been stuck a couple of times..it happens. Anyone ever hear from VF101Guy...yep, got me for $100. So what! I have PLENTY on here, that I do trust, and I know they will come through. However, I don't wish to renew that membership to that club/corner. As a probably victim, just decided to stand up this time so that we can let others know that ARC isn't open for the scamming business. Not to get into a heated debate but has AJ passed away now?
