Incaroad
And where are the VX-9 Super Hornet sheets? <_< But really folks, Very nice lookin sheets you've got there. :D Some time ago I asked if you could include the Yellow/White with Black pinstripe warning placards for the Spin Recovery panel, the Master arm panel, and the ECM panel on the instrument panel and you were going to see if you could print those up...is that a possibility on these or some furture sheets? Oh and when will these sheets for VX-23 and 30 be released? Great contribution to modeling you are doing. Cheers, Larry.

Brian P: Fightertown Decals
Let's see - some answers to the questions: 1. Release - very, very soon... 2 Credit Card/Cash - We're happy to take checks/MO/well concealed cash through the mail. Best idea is to contact me first. 3 VX-9 Hornets/Superhornets...well, I didn't want people to pass out from being completely overwhelmed, but they are coming. 4 Coffee money? Got a solution to help you out - A decal fix high is now scientifically proven to be 12 times more potent than a double shot of espresso. My recommendation - get the decals! But be careful of the decal water 5 Yellow/Black striped cockpit details? It's on there. But instead of sizing tiny pieces, we're giving you a big square of yellow/black striping to cut out and use however/wherever you want. Hard to see in a jpg, but it's the box right between the 400's and VX-23 swoosh on the -23 sheet. 6 Shots of the real things? Take a look in our forums. Got pictures and some profiles of all the real jets! --edit-- Mike stuck some of the real ones right above! thanks, brian Edited February 11, 2008 by Brian P: Fightertown Decals

Oliver
Brian, this is great news! I really dig the subjects you do and got both of the Ultimate Hornet Adversaries (48009 and 48010) from Hannants not too long ago. But I noticed a little issue with BUNO 161716, the brown green "70" from the 48009 sheet. Compared to the picture on the instructions sheet, the "70" and the "NFWS" decals are quite a few shades too dark! Just have a look at it! Yes, I know, the backgrounds on the real thing are relatively dark, but esp. from the NFWS on the plane, you can see that the decal is way too dark. I think it should be a very bright gray, if not off-white. Same with the "42" decal from the same sheet and some national insignia on both of the sheets - too dark. Regarding the upcoming sheets, I'm really concerned about the bloodhound logo for the 100 and 200. Again, it seems way too dark on the decal sheet. Look at the pic of the 100; at least as bright as the top of the fuselage. I doubt the decal you posted would be that bright. Please remember that the brighter decal can be easily toned down when on the model, but vica versa, there's nothing you can do about it. Please make them brighter! I hope this came across as constructive criticism for you, cause your decals really rock! :P Oliver
Brian P: Fightertown Decals
Thanks for the input, but the colors really are correct. The real thing (70) was light ghost gray and that's what we matched to. When you put the decals on the model, they lighten up considerably. If we did print in light gray, they would appear white. Here's a shot of 70. Note the fin caps are dark ghost gray, the spine antenna is light ghost gray and the markings are in light ghost gray. You will notice on the 42 jet, that the markings on the underside were light gray and the top markings were light ghost gray. We slaved over making sure that things were exact to the real thing and we got it right! Check out the difference between the 42 and the star. Star is Light Gray, matching the underside paint, 42 is light ghost gray and it appears distinctly slightly lighter. Helps that I also was around Topgun at the time and got the paint info from them! Same thing on the VX-23 Dog's heads. They are printed correctly, but when the gray is on the paper it can look 'off'. Thanks, Brian Edited February 12, 2008 by Brian P: Fightertown Decals
