boscosticks
i was being a little careless while sanding down my seams.. and i pressed down a window with one of my fingers and the window fell out :o it's a cargo plane and the hatch is still open in the back.. is there any way of fixing this window?? i was thinking i might have to cut the whole window out and reattach it or something... please help!!! thank you all in advanced! -bosco
Av8fan
Could you get a very thin long piece of plastic or stiff wire? Some white glue on the edges of the window Use something like blue tack to hold the window to the wire. Feed it up though the hatch into the hole. Leave the plane nose down until you are sure the window is set in place. 1-2 days maybe. Or does the cockpit get in the way? Just trying to visualize it myself. GGoheen
Depending on the scale and size of the cargo plane mentioned herein you should be able to remedy quite easily by using white glue to make a brand new window in place. Again, depending upon the size of the opening you can use a toothpick to apply and spread back in forth within the opening until it's solid or, if a much larger opening, use a Q-Tip to apply the white glue. Just allow to dry overnight and P-R-E-S-T-O you'll have a brand new window in place and probably much more realistic than those thick ones that are supplied in your kit. Chris Kethan
Bosco, Depending on the size of the window, you can make a new one out of Testor's "Clear parts cement & window maker". If the missing window isn't too big, you can paint your model as you normally would and then apply the window maker to the opening. As it starts to dry, use a toothpick to stretch it across the window frame. It's a pretty neat trick and the window comes out crystal clear and very thin. EDIT: I see Greg posted the same tip while I was typing.... Good Luck, Chris Edited February 23, 2008 by Chris Kethan

The Rat
(and also, should i future the clear cement?) I just used some of the Testor's "Clear parts cement & window maker" on a recent project and the Future went over it fine.
boats
Bosco, try this. Drill a small hole in the center of the window, use a fine wire 10 inces long, put a knot near the center on the wire, put the wire through the window, then through the window port, pull the window up to the port and glue, after it drys pull the wire back out. I've had to do just the route I put before you, it shouls work fine. "Boats"..
kap64
You could always do some surgery and cut out a section at the panel lines, put the window back in and glue the section back and fill the seams. Takes some work, but you will have your original window back.
boscosticks
should i just make those three window sets with the clear cement/window maker? im a bit worried now because i barely touched down on the window when it popped out, and if i have to remove those masks on the window.. it might pop several others out.. ? so im deciding whether or not i should just pop all of the windows out and just make all of them.. it should be clearer and more realistic than the thick windows that come with the kit, right? hmmm.. thank you again for all the advice and tips!! i appreciate them very much!
