Group Build Guidelines

Rules, Guidelines and Information.

The group-build period starts on May 1, 2008 and running through to November 1, 2008. This GB will be a tribute to General Dynamics F-111 Swing Wing Fighter-Bomber aircraft.

As such the GB guidelines will be simple.

1. Any F-111 kit produced is eligible for the group build. The build is open to any scale.

2. The model must not be more than 50% complete when the build begins.

3. Scratch-building is allowed, as is any after market components. Also, cannibalizing and kit bashing is allowed.

4. What-Ifs are also allowed. This could be anything from the proposed RAF F-111K and FB-111B/H. If doing a “What-If†F-111, make sure that it looks the part. If you are putting weapons on the pylons, have the correct weapons for the country of origin.

5. No TFX entries will be allowed. If you are a whiz-bang scratch builder and want to build the Boeing TFX entry, wait until the Scratch Builders Group Build. General Dynamics F-111 aircraft only.

There are quite a few F-111 kits out there ranging from not very good at all to excellent. Build what looks good to you.
