sea-monkey
Sweet - looks like there will be plenty of spark-varks on the go! Would someone else with the Black Box pit for the EF-111A mind posting a pic or two of the rear bulkhead console at some stage? Mine was missing - I'll be scratchbuilding a replacement from references but a few pics of the part would also be helpful. Thanks
longmc
Can I get in? I've been working on the same F-111F for the past 100 years, and have only gotten the cockpit painted. I plan to build the Academy 1/48 F-111E into an F using: Verlinden detail set Black Box cockpit Flightpath Pave Tack Scale Down wheels and 'cans maybe CE intakes (might opt for covered intakes) and finally lots of scratch building (wheel wells, pylons, etc). So far, markings are between 494th ODS bird or a 493rd. I had been holding out for decent markings, but with Ben of Fox One throwing in the towel, that was my last great hope. Tomcat RIO
Revell F-111B Purely OOB, with a scratchbuild nose as it got lost. possibly mount some Phoenixes not sure what markings, but definitely a what-if US Navy fighter squadron. (jolly rogers?!)

SteveV22FE
You sure can, as long as you follow the GB Rules. I don't have a problem with it. Can I get in? ElectroSoldier
The F-111K was to have been basically an F-111C for the RAF. It would have had Triple Plough I intakes and long wings. For a whif AVQ-26 might have been possible, maybe they would have got to the RAF instead of the RAAF, but I think the weapons would have been as a Tornado.
bizzah
Academy 1/48 EF-111 for me Completely OOB not sure what markings yet. Want to do the plane that is credited with a MIG kill.....dunno if anyone makes them though. Anyone know? Biz

ElectroSoldier
Build her too. Two Bobs made a lovely sheet for Harvest Reaper jets. They are "unusual" having a green under surface, and carry a nice range of bombs... GB can be ambiguous. I can mean a group of people building, or a single person building a group ;-)
Colin W
Hi Guys I'm in with another F-111K. This is to sit next to the TSR2 on the shelf between the Canberra and Tornado. Ahh what iff. The basic kit will be Academy but as its a Wif I wont get carried away with After market bits. If the cockpit comes out OK I might try and get a canopy. Following a previous thread on the board I had concluded the K would have short wings, 47" dia x 18" wide wheels, RWR receiver on the fin, full size gear door, Nose refuelling probe. Together with 617 markings for me anyway. If you search the Jet forum for "F-111k" the thread contains all the discussion on wings as well as the serial numbers and a heap of other stuff from the ARC members. Cheers Colin W
Cloggy
Oh yes, I must join this one. The intention is: Zhengdefu FB-111 but built as an Aussie F-111G (25th Anniversary scheme, 1998) using Aussie decals but the rest OOB, and given the reputation Zhengdefu kits have here, I can only say that whatever happens next is in the lap of the gods..... ElectroSoldier
Cheers Colin W, and appoligies to domvickery. Your right, the F-111K was to have had short wings, I dont know why I keep thinking it had long wings...

Trojan Thunder
Hasegawa F-111C (OOB as the Cam/white ARDU jet or a grey 90th Anniversary 1SQN jet) or perhaps an RF-111C from 6SQN I also have a couple of kits to bash to attempt an FB-111H (here's hoping I can make something decent of it).
