Cobrahistorian
It has rained for 2 days now. Four stencils have been cut for each eye. I'm ready for it to warm up and the sun to come out. Should be able to get the remainder of the battalion finished tomorrow. As for decals... not sure just yet. We'll see. Jon
Maverick
wow, it looks very reptilian!!! i love it! i'd definitely be down for decals, would give me a boost to dust of the italeri kit and join the group build..
PBoilermaker
Mike, Grant and I talked about using the gear mount for the eyes, but the masking would be a nightmare and the look wouldn't be the same. Looking at the way you and Grant designed it, I agree that it looks right where you have it. Too far back would look goofy with the way the mouth is positioned. The "nostrils" are a nice touch. RAD
I guess some one OK'd the use of the Wal-Mart paint. There is a letter out about only using CARC for any paint applications. the rattle can stuff leaves an I.R. signature that really shows up when using NVGs and seeker heads on I.R. missiles too. Cantact Milspray. for CARC touch up kits.

We have all of the stencils and our Longbows will be done in CARC once we get them. In any case, three of our birds are done. Should be getting the rest done over the next week. Response for the most part has been fantastic! Jon

Cobrahistorian
Hey all, Well, I've got a ton more pics, but since my Photobucket account has decided not to let me in today, I'm not able to post them right now. A little irritated at that. 21 flight hours, 700rds of 30mm and 93 rockets later, I'm home and exhausted.

otis252
Jon, Those markings would look way cool on my 32nd scale Alpha build. Was gonna do it a NG OIF bird, but might have to rethink that if those markings come out!!! Chuck Edited June 1, 2008 by otis252

Cobrahistorian
Just found this thread. Man, those are AWESOME!!!!!!!!! If those are in decal form, I am building a couple!! Unfortunately, higher HQ currently has people in place that are fond of stealing joy. As such, only four aircraft will have the dragon artwork on them until further notice. Three are from one company and one is from another. We may yet do the whole battalion! Jon
