david sMiGielski
What would one need to build a late-model Malaysian A-4PTM in 1/48? Would a Hasegawa C-model be a place to start or would I need an E kit? Thanks.
JackMan
I asked a similar question with regards to a Fujimi 1/72 Skyhawk: http://z12.invisionfree.com/ScaleModelsMal...?showtopic=2563 Take the time to register at their forum. They're a great bunch of guys :D Here's another good article: http://www.malaysiascalemodelling.com/inde...4&Itemid=21 There are some build reports here on ARC gallery too. Jennings
The PTMs started life as C's. J
j-basset
Generally most of what you need are all already present in the Hase A-4C (or A-4L) kit. Some small antennas would need to be scratch-built though. I think ARC member aidy abdullah of VFA Decals has more to say on the subject. There is information relating to the A-4PtM having a different canopy with bulged/blown sides for better visibility. It's not difficult to see 'live' A-4PTM's as there are a few across the country as museum pieces or gate guards, but not having seen the original A-4C canopy, it's hard to comment. Jennings
The original issue of the HC A-4C kit had Malaysian decals IIRC. J
