stsok9
Looking for the best out of the box builds on the A-10A, F-15E and F-16C. Wanting to build a trio of all three. I have the Has 1/72 F-15C, good build altogether with that one. Thanks, Jason Brown
Lancer512
The best F-16C is still the Revell Block 50/52. For the F-15E the only choice is the Hasegawa or RoG kits, which are the same mold. I am not sure on the A-10. I've got the Hasegawa, Italeri and Academy A-10, but I still have to finish building them to be able to compare the kits. There is also a RoG A-10, but maybe that is the same mold as Italeri's?
ChernayaAkula
For the F-16C, go for the Revell kit (although it's missing the bulged MLG doors). If you can find it. If you can't, the recently released Academy F-16C is also said to be really nice. For the F-15E, go for the new-tool Hasegawa kit (or the RoG rebox). This isn't really an E, but a D made to look like an E. It will need some tweaks to make it a proper F-15E (such as Academy F-15E CFT pylons). I think Wolfpack will come out with an update set. For the A-10, it's probably the Italeri kit (also, as Lancer512 suggested, re-boxed by RoG).
Johnopfor
I concur on all three....... F-16C-Revell F-15E-Hasegawa (the Academy kit isn't too bad either) A-10-Italeri
Eretik
Best A-10 is Italeri. Academy is (much) worse. I am building now A-10 - just very good model. Best F-16 in 1/72 is Revell. I did build one and I was under impression. There are no correct F-15E in 1/72. I would like to build this plane, but I do not want rebuild a lots of model parts. So, task is postponed. Sebastijan
Best A-10 is Italeri. Academy is (much) worse. interesting... I've heard that Italeri has some shape issues which are a bit better with Academy kit, but the later lacks some details and has really really poor weapons... I am currently building Academy one - check the A-10 group build - and I must admit that it looks like an A-10 in every way...

Full and very very detailed comparison here http://www.rumodelism.com/sunduk/obz065.shtml Unfortunately in Russian. In short. Italeri is just better. But Academy A-10 is still *excellent* model despite age. Points of interest: 1. Italeri recesses lines are more deep and more precise. 2. Geometry is similar and very good in both models, looks that Italeri learned Academy model very carefully. 3. Academy has wider choice of weapon, but weapons are not accurate. Italeri has less but much more accurate weapon 4. A lots of very nice features of Italeri model separate ailerons which may built in "open" state Maverick with transparent head. better detalization of chassis improved detalization of GAU-8 and much more Edited June 2, 2008 by Eretik
