cowie165
Cheers for the interesting info Ken! And do you guys use "duck's nuts"? (In the same vein as "dog's bollocks")
Flankerman
Cheers for the interesting info Ken!And do you guys use "duck's nuts"? (In the same vein as "dog's bollocks") Never heard it used over here - but we do say 'Bee's Knees' - for some obscure reason ??? If something is the bee's knees - it's also the dogs' bollocks - weird eh ??? Maybe you can answer my linguistic query - I have been meaning to ask for ages, but was afraid of embarrasing myself...... What exactly does 'no brainer' mean ??? Does it mean it is so easy that it would take 'no brains' to work it out ??? Or - does it mean that something is so difficult - you would have to have 'no brains' to try it ??? It has always puzzled me ...... ;) Ken PS - How about 'best thing since sliced bread'
arkhunter2002
no brainer is used as "it is so easy that it would take 'no brains' to work it out". HTH, Austin
