DutyCat
I posted on here a week or three ago about unwarping some resin aftermarket wings. Hot water was the answer, so I nervously tried it. Here is what I did: 1. Bring water just to a boil in a saucepan. 2. Turn off the burner and let the water cool down for one minute. 3. Drop your part in for 10-15 seconds. 4. Pull it out of the water gently with a pair of tongs and place it on a paper towl. 5. Pick it up with your fingers and fix your warp. 6. Run some cool water over it and you're done. mlicari
Thanks for the tip! I've got three resin kits in the stash that I've been avoiding (even though they're of really cool aircraft) because of warped parts. How big were the wings? Were the parts very thick? Thanks! okthree
Thanks for the tip. I'll have to try that. I have an Aires P/W exhaust nozzle for my F-16 and the tip of two of the turkey feathers is bent out. I was wondering if hot water would do the trick.
