lgl007
Hi guys... I just noticed the addition of this new section to our beloved website... at any rate, I'd like to share with you my two Dio's that got me back into model building after an almost 20 year break... Here is the Tamiya 1/35 Tiger Dio... entitled "LOST". I know it's not that great and certainly not that realistic in terms of weathering and all but I really like how it turned out. All items are Tamiya except for the base and bricks and ground stuff... all scratch built...

lgl007
Here's my Hanomag... this was actually built before the one above... just testing some techniques... Thanks for looking... :-) -Greg
ChernayaAkula
Nice work on both of them, although I particularly like the Hanomag dio! The little tree or brush looks great!
madmike
Both mighty fine little dio's. Like Moritz, I love the Hanomag, particularly the vegetation. What did you use? B) MikeJ
lgl007
Hey Mike and Moritz... thank you both. As for the foilage... hehe.. well the tree itself (the stems) are from Baby's Breath... it's a flowering plant that has alot of angles similar to trees and shrubs in our scale. The foilage on it is actually dried parsley leave that you buy from your local grocery store... First I painted the tree, then put white glue in areas I wanted the leaves to stick to, then dipped the tree in a bag of these dried parsley leaves. After that I just aircrushed it a bit here and there and touched up with paint ;-) The tall grass is modelling grass... and the fine underfoot grass is Static Grass (this stuff is awesome). Lots of different rocks, stones and such from a local hobby shop... I should have taken progress shots :-( -Greg
Rampage55
Very nice!!!! I especially like the Hanomag Dio, simple and effective. Got any more? Mark
Maxtype
Awesome job on both,Greg! The Tiger and Kubelwagon have a very 'lived-in' vibe, and the Hanomag dio is quite action packed. Lets see some more! -Dave
Antoine
Very good work here! Maybe the shades are a little bit too much on the tiger? Well done anyway! Edited July 31, 2008 by Antoine
