Spanish F/A-18A+ decals

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Is there a 1/72 decal sheet available for Spanish F/A-18A+?

Are the stencils printed in Spanish? Or just the roundels?

If only the roundels, can anyone assist me so that i'll just gonna make roundels and not to spend money for AM decals.

Thanks.

I believe Hasegawa once released an F/A-18C hornet called "WORLD HORNET" which included decals for a Spanish bird.

Kit no: 2880 Series: Dt 120

If I'm not mistaken, I think VFA Productions also made a sheet for it but I can't recall if it was for a Swiss bird or a Spanish one.

Amazingly enough, I do have the decals left over from that kit, from over 15 years ago. The Spanish option shows everything to be in English, although most of the stencilling is too small to realize this anyway. Really it comes down to the intake warning markings, "No Step" for the tails and "Do Not Paint" for various details.

Unfortunately what I do not have is the instructions. Do you have sufficient Hornet references to figure out where they would go?

And, where are you located?

Actually, F-4DableModels did an Export Hornet decal sheet covering Finnish, Spanish & Swiss jets in all 3 scales.

The research on the EdA jets were based on the original EF-18 and top-up F/A-18's.

Not sure how much difference for the F/A-18A+, but I'm pretty sure you can cobble together something you can use from the stencils and serial no. blocks provided.
